The service

Benchless connects companies with independent professionals. Benchless is not the employer of professionals; engagements are between the company and the professional, facilitated and billed through Benchless.

Professionals

Activation requires a one-time non-refundable fee and successful identity verification. Professionals set their own rates. A day rate is a fixed price per day worked regardless of hours. Professionals may end an engagement with 48 hours' notice.

Companies

Companies must verify their business and keep a valid payment method on file. Companies are charged daily for the previous day's logged work at the displayed all-in rate, which includes the Benchless service fee. Logged days may be disputed before the next daily billing run. Companies may end an engagement with 48 hours' notice; work during the notice period is billable. Optional pre-engagement discussions are charged when booked and refunded if the professional declines.

Pricing confidentiality

Benchless sets the price companies pay for each engagement. Companies see a single all-in price; professionals see and are paid their own rate. Pricing is confidential:

• Professionals must not share, request, discuss or negotiate their rate, a company's price, or Benchless's fees with any company or its personnel, by any channel, on or off the platform.
• Professionals must not create, use or arrange a company account to view their own listing or pricing.
• Parties introduced through Benchless must not move an engagement or its payments off the platform for 12 months after their last engagement.

A breach of this section is a material breach of these terms. Benchless may, at its discretion and without notice, block messages, end open engagements, withhold the listing, and permanently remove the professional's account from the platform. Benchless monitors workspace messages for pricing discussions and off-platform requests to enforce this section.

Reviews

Reviews are private to Benchless and moderated. Benchless may use them to inform internal quality signals.

Payments

Payments and payouts are processed by Stripe. By using Benchless you also agree to Stripe's services agreement as applicable.
